You will always get a kitchen, which is equipped with a full range of glasses, utensils, crockery, plus you'll have appliances such as a irons, washing machine, drier and dishwasher. Broadband, a television and stereo are standard and are generally of a very high quality.

While serviced accommodation in the UK normally comprises of one or two bedroomed apartments, three or more bedroom apartments are available. One-room studios can also be found.

Some serviced apartments offer a laundry service and a weekly cleaning service within the price or at additional cost.

Concierge services may be available, you can generally get access to business support services, like faximile machines, computers and couriers, can normally be arranged.

Any requirements for children should be discussed before booking. For example, you may need extra beds, a cot, highchair etc. Properties are usually apartments rather than houses, and there may not be access to a garden or open space, so check this in advance.

Parking would normally be provided, but if the apartments do not have facilities, there are often arrangements with local car parks.

If you are only staying for a few nights, you can expect to have to pay in advance. Negotiate weekly or monthly rates according to length of stay. For stays of a few months (or even years), a deposit will be required and a contract would have to be signed. Of course, it may be you company that is paying for your accommodation. If this is the case, then make sure you check out authorisation and contract requirement.

Check in advance the arrangements for gaining access to your apartment, particularly if you are arriving outside of normal office hours, or maybe at the weekend. You should also bear this in mind for your departure!.

Most serviced accommodation providers have the wellbeing of their guests at the forefront of their minds. So they should make life as convenient as possible.

  1. Serviced apartments are best as compare to hotel rooms because these apartments are mostly like homes because all things like kitchen, utensils, crockery, washing machine and all other homely things are provided there. Also they are cheaper than hotels. So it is better to stay there for long or short term periods.
